Fed up with the extremes? Welcome to.....
New Musicfinder Mainstream adds recommendations
In the Musicfinder section there is now a map promising jaded pallete rejuvination.
Here's how it works - you know what you like, but as you've now listed to 'Waterloo Sunset' 43,271 times you'd like to see if there's anything new out there that might be able to hold a candle. Well I've taken the stress of listening to dross and pointed you to some bands I know you'll like.
I've started in the Mainstream with the first map (As befits a site such as this). More to come, the only criterion for inclusion is that the music must be really special.
Click on the name to find out why and listen to some samples - try it!
Goodbye serendipity........
The "New World Order" of music has removed the possibility of stumbling across something delightful. In the past we had our musical tastes shaped in myriad different ways. In the new world we get ONLY what we like - nothing more nothing less.....it's a disaster

Overrated 'Stars' get on my nerves.
You know, those ones that are apparently untouchable. Their mere mention causes otherwise sane individuals to come over "all unnecessary". So what power do they have and why are you the only one who can see that these tin pot emperors never had any clothes in the first place.
I always said I wouldn't vent my spleen in public. That lasted until I started writing this article. Ahem, you may not agree with me on this.

Gas Guzzlers Ahoy!
These days driving any car larger than a boring econobox is seen as tantamount to criminal irresponsibility, however there are great reasons for ignoring the trend towards soprorific driving boredom - we explore them here.
